John B. McClamroch, 64, of Rt. 8, Crawfordsville, was found dead shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday in a building on his farm along Plank Road north of here. His body was found by a brother, Charles C., who resides nearby. He had been summoned to the farm after Mr. McClamroch's wife had been unable to locate her husband. Montgomery County Coroner Russell Powers said death was apparently due to a heart attack, but that an autopsy is being performed. A graduate of Iowa State University, Mr. McClamroch farmed in the Crawfordsville area all of his adult life. He also attended Purdue University and was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School. He was a member of Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, Montgomery County Historical Society and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Born March 28, 1908, at Crawfordsville, he was a son of Charles N. and Frances Chamberlin McClamroch. He was married at Crawfordsville on Sept. 15, 1934, to Mae Bunnell, who survives. Also surviving are his mother of Rt. 8; his brother; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Harting of Jamestown, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Burkhart Funeral Home, with Rev. Larimore K. Wickett officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
